The number of people on Earth under 15 years old is expected to hit a peak of 2.09 billion in 2057. After that, we’re looking at a global decline in young people. The shift has already begun in much of the world’s affluent economies, with Japan and South Korea graying the fastest. As the number of workers dwindles and the elderly population expands, the case for robot workers will likely grow stronger, reports Axios.
