Big Beer Going Flat?

U.S. partiers may not be paring an American “big beer” with that hotdog this Fourth of July. Sales of the four leading brands — Bud Light, Miller Lite, Coors Light and Budweiser — are flat at best, with shipments from breweries falling 3.5% so far this year, according to the Beer Institute. “American drinkers have found that beer doesn't go with everything,” writes CNNMoney. Millennials are experimental, women favor wine and cocktails, and even guys are being drawn to concepts emerging from craft breweries, like axe-throwing and other gaming.
