Trucking companies are having a difficult time
finding new drivers, even after hiking pay and offering bonuses, according to
The Washington Post. The industry has over 60,000 open positions — and that’s

sold in the U.S., this shortage has “special power to affect the entire
economy”: Wage hikes mean higher transportation costs, which could have a
ripple effect on businesses across the nation.
